While we can’t guarantee your dog won’t wake you up to go outside, or encourage you to rub their ears or belly, the Blazer will take care of those early morning feedings for you, every morning! Because the feeder dispenses your dog’s food daily, in the portion(s) and precise time(s) you set, dogs quickly become trained on the feeder to dispense their morning portion(s).
You can program the Blazer to dispense small portions up to 9 times per day. If you typically feed your dog 2 cups of feed, for example, you can set the feeder to dispense that amount in smaller portions (1/4 Cup or 1/2 Cup at a time, for example) over multiple feed events to improve digestion and prevent gulping.
Yes! In between regularly scheduled feeding you can use the Test feature on the timer to dispense food at anytime by setting the number of seconds you want the feeder to dispense. The feature is great when you want to reward your best friend or provide them with some additional food at any time.

Yes, you can! Backyard chickens and show animals including goats, pigs and sheep can eat from the Blazer as well! The Blazer will feed any type of dry feed without any issue or adjustments!
Great question! Feeding two times per day with an average of 5 seconds per feeding, the rechargeable battery that’s included with the feeder should last a few months in between charges, probably longer. The time in between charges depends on how many times per day you feed, and the duration of each feed event. The EZ Set digital timer on the Blazer includes a built-in battery tester that will flash Battery: Good, Fair or Poor. Once the indicator says Fair or Poor, simply remove the battery and charge it up overnight and put it back into the feeder – that’s it. By the way, the optional battery charger sold online works great to recharge your battery when needed and when disconnected from the battery, the timer will remember your feed settings for over a year, so you don’t have to re-set the feed events after charging the battery – simply set the time of day once you re-connect the battery to the timer and all feed times and seconds remain saved in the timer.
